With the holidays right around the corner (where has this year flown?!), we’re all waiting to snatch up some great deals. Amazon recently had its “second” Amazon prime sale this past week and I found it…eh. Instead, I thought of sharing the Amazon Gift Guide for Christmas 22– what I’m planning on buying or gifting with all of you. How does that sound?
I’m going to break my picks up into categories so it’ll be easier to get through all of them.
Amazon Gift Guide for Christmas: Home/Bedroom
I love comforter sets and since I have a queen-sized bed, they can be very expensive. I know Macy’s and many other department stores have some great choices, but I like simplicity. My current set is from Macy’s and while I love it, it’s time for a change. I currently have a weighted blanket but all of my friends can’t stop raving about using a down comforter.
This beautiful set is between $43 and $51 depending on which size and pattern you choose. They do have most of their patterns available in all three sizes: Twin, Queen, and King. The comforter is made of 100 percent brushed microfiber! It’s so soft and cuddly! The best part is that it’s machine washable! Though I would always recommend washing your comforters at the laundromat because they’re industrial-sized. You don’t want to imbalance your washing machine at home by doing this (speaking from experience).
As far as home/bedroom is concerned, that’s all I really wanted. But, out of experience, I’ll tell you this: Amazon has some great solid-colored microfiber bedsheets! What I usually do is I’ll purchase a complimenting color for my bed set and use that while I wash my sheets. That way my bed always looks like it’s right out of a magazine.
Home Decor-ish
As a kid, I remember that one of the most commonly given gifts was socks and throws. I couldn’t appreciate it as a kid but now, I love throws. Imagine you’re watching a great movie in your living room, you’re sprawled out on the couch, nice and comfy, and then you start feeling a bit nippy. You’re too lazy to get up and go to your room to change and you don’t want to miss any part of the movie. These throws are super soft and they won’t fall apart in the machine after washing them. I have lots of those plush fuzzy throws and they always leave fibers on my clothes (in the machine) or as I wash them, they eventually thin out and rip. But these, nope. These are outstanding!
Amazon Gift Guide for Christmas: Jewelry
I know most people don’t associate Amazon with jewelry, but if you look hard enough you can find some great pieces! I love piercings and I have multiple ear piercings (8 on each ear). I’m always looking for cute studs to use. My only problem is, I can’t use fashion jewelry unless it’s stainless steel.
These come in a set of 6 for under $15! You’re getting a bunch of colors and they’re perfect for an ear stack or just to wear one at a time. Stainless steel doesn’t tarnish and it won’t bother your ear. I love the green and the orange personally 🙂
Designer Inspired
For the next few pieces, I’ll post pictures and links for you guys to check it out. There are dupes for David Yurman, Tiffany’s, and even Cartier! I’m not supporting knock-offs, but sometimes you want to check out a piece before investing in it especially if it’s very expensive. As long as they’re not selling it as an original branded piece, it’s ok, right?
If you want to shop any of these pieces, just click the caption or the image and you’ll be taken to its page. I made it simple for you! Oh and no, they’re not affiliate links.
One brand I do want to shed light on is PAVOI. The tennis bracelet is a PAVOI piece and if you check out their storefront on Amazon, let me tell you, you’re going to be blown away. They have lots of pieces and they’re all high-quality fashion jewelry. Let me remind you that none of these pieces are fine jewelry, just so there’s no confusion. But they’re amazing dupes, right? The last bracelet, the tennis bracelet, is such a great quality piece that most of the reviews mention that the CZs look like real diamonds!
Amazon Gift Guide for Christmas: Handbags
There are all sorts of designer dupes on Amazon. Now you can also find most brands there as well! Fossil, Coach, Michael Kors, etc…they’ve taken to Amazon. I use Amazon to check for styles that might have been discontinued.
This hobo has been all over Facebook and Instagram. I can’t get away from it! Although it’s not my style, I’ve seen a lot of influencers and friends chat about how much they love its style. Stony Clover has something similar in nylon. Both brands offer lots of colors.
Unfortunately, this brand offers only one color of this popular bag. I can’t remember the name of the brand but I’ve seen them on Instagram and the prices are outrageous. This sparkly beauty is under $50. This specific bag has a detachable shoulder strap which I think the others don’t offer. This would make a great gift for someone that’s fashionable on a night out.
This beauty comes in all sorts of colors and will run you just about $30. Camera bags were all over the place in the last year or so, especially by brands like YSL and even Marc Jacobs. My personal favorite is the dusty rose (pictured here). It’s a great size for your essentials for a day in the city or Black Friday shopping with your friends.
Amazon Gift Guide for Christmas: Beauty
I won’t say that I would gift these items to a friend, but I would stock up on them for myself. But they would make some pretty nifty stocking stuffers.
The Revlon blow dryer is nothing new but this is the new 2.0 model. The bristles are softer and the head is removable! I know everyone wants the Dyson but honestly, I feel you can get the same look in less and we’re all about the deals, right?
The Spot Patches by Rael are amazing. I was a bit skeptical about these at first but they help! I usually use them overnight and bam, the next morning my face is clear! That doesn’t mean you don’t do your regular face routine.
The must-buy here is the Olaplex Bonding Oil. I have very frizzy hair and honestly, I hate weighing it down with oil. This oil is light and it protects your hair from UV rays (very important especially if you’ve bleached your hair). A little bit goes a very long way so you’ll have this bottle for 6 months to a year! Your hair is going to look like it’s straight out of a Pantene ProV commercial. Grab this!
You’ll notice I don’t have any fashion favorites and that’s because I haven’t bought clothes from Amazon. But if you follow Michelle on Instagram she’s got some great ideas! Plus if you like jewelry, then she’s the one to stalk! She’s one of my favorite influencers out there!
If you’re looking to support someone on their weight loss journey, buying them a subscription to BollyX might not be such a bad idea. I’d chat with the person you want to buy it for first so that they don’t feel bullied (not what we want to do here). But if you or a friend is looking for a great workout, I’d recommend BollyX. Check out my article on weight loss and my post on how Youtube helped me lose weight.
That’s it for my guide this year guys. I hope you enjoyed my picks and please check out my Medium profile for more articles.
